I love big girls - and Marina Shiraishi is my favourite. This right here, folks, is a real woman. Marina has a remarkable figure and she knows it. While she's more physically endowed than most Japanese (nay, even Asian) women, she has a proportionality that makes her a truly outstanding model. Marina Shiraishi (aka Maririn • まりりん) hails from Tokyo, Japan. She enjoys cooking, golf and high school baseball games. An interesting thing to note, is that she debuted in the industry in 2013 at age 27. This is much older than most other models on average, who usually debut between ages 18 and 21. Before this, she had worked as a child actress in a few small roles and later appeared in a number of commercials. At her debut, she quickly gained notice of many publications at the time, appearing on a number of top model lists and winning a few awards in the process. Like many models from Japan, Marina quickly followed up her debut by joining the Japanese all female music group, Ebisu Muskats for four years, eventually graduating in 2019. She continued to gain notoriety among a faithful and growing fanbase after launching her YouTube channel. She also has quite a following on Twitter on Instagram. Like many others, Marina's decision to become an actress and model was made without the knowledge of her family. To us in the west, this might not seem like a big deal. However, when you consider Asia's collectivist culture, this is the sort of decision that is nothing short of scandalous. She admits that only a few of her siblings are aware of her decision (or are willing to talk about it). Meanwhile, her parents are split on the decision, with only her father offering support. Marina is still very active in the industry, despite the fact that she is now married and the mother of one. I'm not sure if her husband is aware of her work, given that he lives overseas.
