Shiori Kamisaki is originally from the Kyoto prefecture, even though she grew up in Osaka nearby. She initially started professionally as a dental assistant. We've all had our share of humble first jobs, right? But she has a true coming of age story about how she evolvedto becoming one of the most well recognized faces in Japanese media. Because from this humble start, like many women in the industry, Shiori was looking for something more. She entered the industry in 2011 at age 20 starting with the "Million Girl 2012" publication, along with several other contemporaries such as Yu Asakura and Shelly Fujii. A year later, she formed a 5 member all girl music group with Kokomi Sakura, Kokomi Naruse, Megu, and Maika. She followed that up in 2015 by joining the Ebisu Muscats. Over the years, her contract has changed hands with several major Japanese publications until she announced her retirement on twitter in 2019. She has since found love and gotten married to professional Japanese wrestler, Kouki Iwasaki in 2020. While she has retired from the industry, she remains active on social media. Checkout her links, including our archive all that we have published of her work on the right. Expect more updates in the near future. |
